Jane, the fox & me

I’m writing a paper about this incredible graphic novel written by Fanny Britt and illustrated by Isabelle Arsenault. It’s a post-structural feminist critique of the novel, using semiotics to closely explore particular moments in the text that construct various issues and themes about girlhood, the body, affect, and desire. I was inspired after reading a review from Brainpickings here: http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2013/11/25/jane-the-fox-and-me/

I have the English version, the French version, and also some of the artwork in poster form. It is so beautiful! Now here is a question – as I weave in a psychoanalytic reading of the text, do I also analyse my own relationship to these themes?
